Our country lies in wait
We have seen a call for change
Now, it is up to the newly elected to make it
We the people have made our voices heard
This is our land
Now, it is in the hands of our new officials
Please mend our country, our hearts, our minds
Please fix this rift in between us, we are all one
Please don't focus on the differences, rep or dem
Please help us to be better than we are right now
As a Mother, Wife, Daughter, Friend
